"Does God have You?" - Micheal Angelo's Sistine Chapel Master Piece is one of amazement and beauty. Among the numerous images painted, we see the depiction of Adam and God. The Creation of Adam.

It is such an interesting concept to notice that God is fully extended, reaching out with everything He has to just touch Adam. And then on the contrary we see Adam, laid back with no worries, just sort of lackadaisical about reaching for God. Isn't that how are lives are? We know and can see God there in the things we do, but we don't want to put any extra effort into touching God or better yet, touching God's heart.

So does God have You? If we can't reach for Him even when the distance is so small, or in the small situations in life, do we deserve for God to reach for us? Our hearts devotion needs to be fully to God. Our actions need to be reflections of His Son. When the times are rough and there seems to be no hope, our response will reveal whether God has us or not and if our faith is in Him.

God is real and reaching for us. Let us close that distance and experience a life change in His presence.

"Portrait of Christ" -    What a sacred devotion.  If we as christians could honestly grasp the idea of being a reflection of Jesus Christ, wouldn't this would be a different place. Peter and John in Acts 4 were persecuted by the Jewish officals for doing exactly that, reflecting Christ by healing a clippled man. Much to often though we as Christians say "we give our lives for Christ", we are to affraid of the persecution that may come ahead. Nobody ever said following Jesus would be easy.

Having the faith to stand through whatever circumstance, this is the true test of our devotion. We will illuminte Christ or will we fall back into a world so desperate for integrity? Painting a portrait of Christ is what the disciples lived and died for.  Let us all follow after our rabbi.

"Doing with what you already have" - What an interesting concept! Using the gifts God gave us to enright the lives of others. If we would only really grasp this issue and walk in God's favor. Some of us feel that what we have to give is so miner compared to what others can give, but the heart is the true reflection of what we have to offer.

On a more practical level, using the physical things God has blessed us with to further His kindgom is again a reflection of the heart. If God has blessed you with a John Deere riding lawn mower that goes from 0-60 in 8 hours then use it to maintain the Church grounds. Maybe you have the ability to build things and have the equipment. Use that ability in the process of building God's kindgom.

Ultimately, we have the ability to love. Let us as believers of Jesus Christ reflect God's love and do the work set out for us daily.
